报告人简介：
Professor Andrew Chan (陳衍昌) joined the University of Tasmania, Australia, in March 2015 and is currently Professor of Engineering. He was a Postdoctoral Research Assistant at Cambridge University, lecturer at the University of Glasgow then Reader and Professor at University of Birmingham. Then moved to Australia.
He has a wide research interest. He is one of the world leading experts in the use of the finite element method of static and dynamic fully coupled soil and pore-fluid interaction. His recent interest is in the combined finite-discrete element method. He is subject editor for the Journal of Applied Mathematical Modelling and on the editorial board of Computers and Structures. The second edition of his co-authored book Computational Geomechanics: Theory and Applications, 2nd Edition, has just been published by Wiley.
